Tené Gray is the Director of Professional Development for the DYN project engaged in designing and delivering learning experiences that support mentors in developing new media literacy pedagogy inclusive of standards/goals, curriculum, and assessments. Additionally, she provides coaching to mentors focused on the implementation of new media literacy practices through classroom observations and action planning.
Ms. Gray is a doctoral candidate in education at DePaul University. Her research interests include the development of mentors as teachers through professional learning communities. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a concentration on Electronics from Illinois State University and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Governors State University. Her experience also includes teaching middle school students in the Chicago Public School system as well as working as a program director for the GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) program.
